We’re so proud to announce that we will be hosting a Mental Health First Aid Training course in Kent in March 2019. Amelix Telecom will be subsidising the event, and HatHats Coffee Company will be hosting the training at their location in Reculver.
The Course
Mental Health First Aid training is designed to help to raise awareness of mental health around the workplace and to help you to gain the skills to support those affected. In 2017 a study by Business in the Community found that three out of five employees have experienced mental health issues in the past year because of work.
At the Amelix Group, we are passionate about protecting employees mental health so we are delighted to be able to host the Mental Health First Aid Course on the 20th and 21st March 2019 in the Coastal Classroom at HatHats Coffee Company, Reculver Lane, Herne Bay, Kent, CT6 6SS.
This two-day course, delivered by Richard Brook from 3B training will equip attendees with the relevant knowledge to be able to support distressed individuals and themselves. They will have a greater understanding of the stigma that surrounds mental health issues and how to deal with them in the workplace.
The course content includes:
- Recognising the early signs of mental health problems
- Offering support to someone going through a mental health issue.
- Awareness of anxiety, stress, depression and other mental health issues
- Promoting good mental health recovery
- Protecting those who are of harm to themselves
- Directing someone towards relevant treatment
- The stigma of mental health
The cost of the two-day course is £175 + vat per delegate and includes coffee and crepes throughout the day from our wonderful hosts HatHats Coffee Company.
On completion of the course, delegates will receive a Mental Health First Aider qualification VIA the MHFA England Accreditation. We have limited spaces at this event, and have received a large amount of interest, so if you know you would like to attend, we recommend booking ASAP.
