A Business that makes Just Money is a Poor Business
Doing Good
We believe there should be more to a business than just the bottom line. Yes, we need to make a profit, but it shouldn’t be just about that.
We value the communities we operate in. Each business is passionate about giving back and supporting local and international initiatives.
All our people are encouraged to ‘Do Good’.
After working for the Amelix Group for a year staff can book 10 days off for charity work. Through the My Ten Days scheme staff can take 10, fully paid days, to go and do good.
Scrapping targets
In 2014 we started to phase targets out and completely scrapped them in 2017.
We found they were divisive and negatively impacted team morale.
It also seemed as if some team members cared more about getting the sale than they did about our customers.
Instead, we ensure Amelix Group understand our client’s needs. That they make deals with integrity. And that they are empowered to act on whatever they think is best for the customer, not the business.
Conscious Capitalism
Amelix Founder Louis Hurst is also a pioneer in the ‘Conscious Capitalism’ movement.
Every business he runs aims to make the communities they operate within better in some way. It’s not only the right thing to do, but it also boosts team morale in an amazing way.
Louis believes and has proved that true entrepreneurial thinking comes when you don’t focus on the money at the outset of an idea.
Instead, focusing on doing good at the start leads to good things, one of which is ethically made profit.
